Niki's second week in Europe was spent on the beach in Lignano, Italy.
That's east of Venice on the Adriatic. We enjoyed sun, sand and surf.
Lignano is a resort town that only comes to life during the summer.
There's lots of stuff to do like swimming and building a sand Ferrari (actually dad built it!).
Every day on the beach there are people selling all sorts of things like sunglasses, rugs and towels. Mom bought a towel for every day of the week.
Niki played on the beach with the other kids from our hotel. One little Austrian boy was named Stefan but told us we could call him Steve.
In the evening after dinner, we would take a walk on the main strip. That's where they had a kiddie park with lots of rides. Niki especially enjoyed driving the race cars.
After taking our walk, we would sit on the patio with our friends or in the lobby till it was time to go to sleep.
