Pilgrimage to Ingolstadt
Those Audi folks are building up a storm. Here are two views of the construction.
In this large pavilion is the hall where you pick up your new Audi. There is a lighted display with your name and time of scheduled pickup.
And no visit to Audi would be complete without visiting the Audi Boutique!
After the tour, where we saw A3s being built and TTs being retrofitted (no pictures were allowed), we exited to a large hall where the TT accessories were on display as well as life size vehicles to sit and drool over.
How about that wooden pull toy for your toddler?
Ingolstadt is a very old...750 years this year...and beautiful city. The ornate building you see in the picture is a painted facade. Fooled you didn't they?
The "Fußgänger" zone is closed to autos, only pedestrians and bicycles. There are numerous Biergartens and outdoor cafes to sit and while away the hours or rest your weary feet from too much shopping.
And don't forget all those Audis they export via the rail....
